Jan 17, 2009 Taylor McKay's Birthday Lunch

Jen & Taylor McKay 1.17.09

Jared and I went out to Lunch with our neice Taylor McKay for her 9th Birthday at Macaroni Grill in Provo, Utah on Jan 17, 2009.  Taylor McKay is beautiful and very smart.  She is Maura and Rick's oldest daughter.  We had such a fun time with her.  We hope she had a very happy birthday this week!

Fast Trip up North Jan 16 -18, 2008

Jared & I Great Salt Lake, Utah.  Pic By Brian Adair-  Thanks Brian!!!

We had perfect weather in St George, Utah over the holiday weekend-- so we left town!  We drove up up North, to the freezing cold.   Why? you ask.  Well, cold weather, freezing cold weather is perfect weather to climb frozen waterfalls.  Saturday morning Jared and one of his very best friends, Nate Cox, climbed extra large frozen icicles in Provo Canyon, at Bridal Veil Falls.  Jared had a great time in the cold, while I stayed nice and warm--inside!

Later that day we were driving past the Great Salt Lake to the Adair's home in Stansbury Park.  But just as we were almost their,  the sun began it's descent and the lighting was gorgeous at the Great Salt Lake.  I begged Brian and Jared to turn around and take me back to this beautiful spots to take pictures.  It was so cold... But I had to get some pictures.

The price we pay for art.  Cold hands, but a warm heart.

I love this picture, because who knows where in the universe this was taken.  The inversion hides the outline of the mountains and the Great Salt Lake is not so recognizable.

Not only was I able to take some beautiful pictures, but Jared and Brian taught me how to drive on the ice, or should I say, they taught me how to do 180 degree turns on the ice.  It may be called doughnuts.  I don't know what you call it, all I know is it was so much fun feeling the back end of the car slide around 180 degrees.  It was way better than any roller coaster and I didn't even hit any rocks or anything!

Brian and Jared patiently endured me practicing my new driving skill over and over and over again.  Too bad there isn't much ice in St George, because I loved doing doughnuts on the ice!

1.10.09 Zion after Dark

Suess Land by Jen McBride

Jared and I went to Zion's National Park on Saturday late afternoon and early evening.  We watched the moon rise in the east.  It illuminated the majestic creations surrounding and in Zion's Great Canyon Walls.  The moon appeared extra-large on Saturday night because it was the closest it will be to the earth this year (2009).  It was a wonderful and magical date taking pictures of some of God's most beautiful creations.

Jared and I stayed at the Knobloch house in UTC, during our last visit to San Diego and Dr Deanna.  Kiki (17) and Michael (14) were perfect hosts and took care of us!  Kiki came to the beach with us on the 30th of December.  Here are a few of the pictures I took of this Beautiful Woman!

December 30, 2008 -- SAN DIEGO SUNSET

Jared & I are thinking about studying Ballet this year.   Thanks for taking these awesome pictures Kiki!  YOU ROCK!!!!

On December 30, 2008 Jared and I went to the beach with some of our favorite people in the world.  We had so much fun taking pictures, slack lining and having a bonfire!

I am so blessed to be married to such an affectionate man!

We went to the beach almost every day we were in San Diego.  I love walking along the beach with MY husband, holding his hand and letting him steal a kiss or two or maybe more...
